ezAR is alive, major update coming soon
A major update of ezAR is in development with an early beta release ready for use very soon. This update is a revamp and extension of the beta-1 functionality that concentrates on providing the core video and webview overlay services required to create augmented reality UIs using Apache Cordova, PhoneGap and Ionic mobile SDKs.
What to look for:
- complete rewrite of both Android and iOS Cordova plugins
- refactored functionality into multiple stand-alone Cordova plugins:
- video preview & webview overlay
- Install only the features you need.
- bug fixes

Why the long gap between releases?
As a bootstrapped startup you do what you have to do keep the lights on. Just after rolling out the initial ezAR beta-1 in 2015 my workload picked up considerably. While ezAR continued to be developed for private use, public availability suffered. Fast forward to 2016 and I've resumed ezAR development. My interest is to provide the platform and tools that help creative developers produce augmented reality applications using common web technologies.
